And good for you. You can't be too safe on here. (meaning the internet)

Adults planned a Gathering but didn't give the exact address online....only PM'd it to those attending. You just can't be to careful.

BUT, with that said, welcome to one of the most friendly group of internet people I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with. (and I have been online since IRC was "the" chat forum and ICQ was MAGIC

If you have questions ask.

If you need something ask.

If you need to rehome something, let us know.

And again.

sorry to hear that. They were going to be some really cute Sumatra's!

I know, I know. That's why I'm crying. Maybe in the spring I'll buy some eggs from you

I'll have plenty!

I hope so, cuz I was really excited about the prospect of having ferrel chickens on the property. And I really LOVE the look of the Sumatra roo's tails.

Now to talk a hen into going broody when I want to hatch eggs. AND I'll have to keep the neighbor girls out of the coop for 3 weeks. I love those girls and can't say "no" to them, but It never even crossed my mind that they would lift the hen off her nest and carry her around, but I strongly suspect that's what happened. Next time I'm going to put her under a basket so NOTHING can bother her.

well if you hatch Sumatra's and they go broody, you won't have any problems like that! Those girls have the roosters scared of them when they are broody. They don't let anyone push them around

Hello! Anyone want a Partridge Rock rooster? He is a hatchery oops from mcmuray. He is getting a little aggressive. If I didn't have a 6 year-old, I wuldn't care so much, he is really beautiful and I love hearing him crow. He also does a great job as sentry. If I can't rehome him, he'll get a tour of my dutch oven. I just figured I'd throw that out there for anyone who might be looking for a PR roo. I'll even deliver if it's within an hour's drive from me. I'm up in the northern adirondacks. Here's a photo.

We went. My children loved seeing a lot of new breeds we have never seen in person before. Small show but nice!! I can't wait to go to another.
