Stopped out to TSC for the 4th time this week. They had 6 mixed breed ducklings. Seriously? Way to go chick week.

I would be interested. A fox got my old bantam rooster who was the patriarch of the littles flock. Fox have been dispatched, so no worries about them.

I had to dispatch a racoon recently, got one of my best JG hens night before.
Same trap had a little skunk in it last week, ughh , skunks are not fun... did dispatch one last yr ate every little broody hatched chick in two different coops so it had to go. I set this one free, hope it wasn't a mistake. I couldn't open trap very easily with long sticks, ended up walking right up to it opening trap and latching it open without any mishaps ...
Hope the traumatic experience for it keeps it away. Slowly headed out digging for worms paying no mind to me standing there, I didn't hurry it along either... Have my fingers crossed

I am absolutely interested. Imo silkies are one of the most adorable looking chickens. Everyone says they are also wonderful mothers which is a huge plus. What colors do you have?

I hope that little bugger learned it's lesson. I saw some raccoon poop in my yard the other day. I'm hoping it will just move along. The chipmunks here are horrible stealing all my chicken food. At least they leave my chickens alone.

I have buffs, partridge and black with gold leakage. I have lots of them!

stopped into the Cortland TSC last night, tanks are set up and ready, but no chicks yet. Hoping to have Pyxis' luck and accidently bring home poults lol

I've had some predator issues last month. Ended up being mostly raccoons. There are now 5 less around my farm. Also had a run in with a Fisher. My neighbor came down the other day to let me know on his way home from work he saw 7 foxes just down the street. He wanted to warn me to keep a look out. If it isn't one thing it is the next.
