NY chicken lover!!!!

:thumbsup
How much did you pay for them?
I'm going to have to check TSC today, they haven't had anything since spring. Last yr they had new chicks about every month.
I definitely don't need anything but I don't think I could pass up turkey poults for chick prices lol.

I paid chick prices since they thought they were leghorn pullets, so they were $2.99 each. Definitely not a bad price.

Why is always during fair week that we end up finding a hidden broody and hatching eggs. Thought we got rid of all the spitz, hubby found one on top of the haystack when pulling bales down. Not a good broody at all either. Took the 2 chicks that did survive and gave them to the EE broody that has been trying for a month in the nest box. Itty bitty little black chicks. Spitz is now back in the rafters. Will have to wander through TSC now....

No broodies here, though I'm waiting for my pekin to decide she wants to have another go at it since she's laying again now that her molt is over.

Hello. I'm in upstate NY near Binghamton.
I'll be looking to rehome a cockerel soon. Ended up with 2 instead of 1 cockerel with my now 9 pullets. They were 13 weeks old Monday so I still have time to find one a new home. I want to wait until they reach sexual maturity before re-homing one.
Anyone near me interested in taking on a cockerel? I'd prefer him to be a flock guardian but realize I'll have no control over that once he leaves my flock.

Would anyone be interested in a little bantam cochin cockerel? I have two that need homes. One is splash mottled, and the other is black split to mottled. They're not hatchery stock.

If they don't find homes they're gonna have to go feed the raptors at VINS.

Hey everyone! Its been a while since I was on here. I forgot about this section!

Any one have any Gunieas from Hudson-Albany area. I want bunches! I would take eggs, juvies, but I would rather laying and breeding birds.

Got a good home here! 10 acres plus good neighbors!

I am also looking to start over on quail. Anyone with outdoor hardy/ local species of quail?

I have some roos/baby chicks to trade as well as black spanish turkey toms only.

Turkeys need to go! All that hatched had been male. Had to pen up the bunch to save the other turkey from the stress. Trades welcome or 30$ pick up only for turkeys.

Cant travel very far do to medical reasons. Hope to find some one under an hour away from Stuyvesant 12173.

Thanks!

I would be interested. A fox got my old bantam rooster who was the patriarch of the littles flock. Fox have been dispatched, so no worries about them.

Darn, sorry you lost him :(

I think you're about two hours from me. I could meet you in Glens Falls if you want, which would shave about 40 minutes off. Or I can ship them.
