NY chicken lover!!!!

To me it looks like a nice healthy hen with a good size comb. The hackle and saddle feathers look rounded in the picture, like a hen would have. Is she really crowing, or just squawking because it is morning and it's time for everyone to wake up? :)
Oh my gosh, yes! She's crowing. I'm waiting for my husband to send the video. The video is all black because it was too dark in the coop. But you'll hear her crowing. It's hilarious! Though not too hilarious because it puts me in a predicament. Hahaha We've been looking up that there are in fact as specified above, females who crow. Wait till you hear it! I'll put it up once he sends it to me.

I hope you can see the video it's black but you can hear it. I had to make it private just in case our neighbors were watching.

Maybe you could get her a no-crow collar? I live where roosters are allowed, and have plenty of them, lol, so my little crowing hen isn't a problem, but if you don't want to rehome yours, a collar might be worth a try.

I never knew anything like that existed. Do they carry it at tractor supply? Is it humane? It won't shock her to death will it?

HISIRISHGEM...Sounds like a Rooster. Aria
That's what I said! My husband is going to check again. But he looks like a she. I've never been so confused in my life. lol I asked him if it was the other white one who also looks like a girl and he said he's POSITIVE it was the black one because she did it right in front of him. Needless to say, I think I may try that No-crow to try to keep her. The only time the crow happens is when she's in the coop. Not in the run and never in the two years we've had him or her. lol I'm at a loss!

They're all two years old you've said, so you would have seen signs of one being a rooster far before now - they're all hens :) Some hens just crow. Like my Coriander, my bantam hen I was telling you about. She always lives in the house in winter, and she lays eggs in her cage for me. And crows :p
