NY chicken lover!!!!

I was cleaning some things out of the barn and I found my little dog pen I use to put ducklings and Silkie chickens in when I wanted them out on fresh grass. I don’t breed anymore so if anyone is interested, I’m asking $25. Has drop pins to hold panels together and measurements are in the pics. I’m in Lake Pleasant, NY.

Hi guys, gotta question for you - Is it normal to get around 9 eggs per day from 20 chickens? I feel like that's low but doing some searching online and getting all different answers. 12 of those chickens are 2 years old, the rest are a year old. We have a pretty good egg business and can't keep up, we thought with 20 we'd be getting over a dozen a day. Trying to figure out if there's something wrong but can't watch each chicken to see who is laying and who isn't. One of the girls has a pale comb and we're trying to pinpoint what's going on - can't find any mites/lice, she's eating well and looks healthy otherwise but I assume she's not laying. Would love hearing your insight!

The pale comb is probably not laying .
You can check a chickens vent ..if it is large and pink they are laying .
different breeds - lay different ...if you have a comet they can lay every day for a couple of years .. other breeds may not lay every day
1) are you feeding them Layer ?
2) are they free ranging ?
3) Could they be hiding eggs somewhere ?
4 Are any of them broody ?
These 4 things can effect how they lay
in general : 1st years lay about a egg a day
in general 2nd years lay slightly less .
As they get older than that it may be one every 2 or three days
I have 15 hens - between 1 year and 5 years .
They lay normally 6 - 9 eggs a day

Thanks Gramma - she's a buff and was a fantastic layer up until probably about a month or two ago when we noticed the pale comb. We've checked her and the rest of the crowd and find no parasites (at least visible ones), her vent isn't super pink but not completely pale either. Yes, they get layer, plus oyster shells, they free range all day. I don't think anyone is hiding eggs as we've been so busy with yard work we would most likely notice, obviously it's always a consideration though and I'll take a look around again. This pale girl is one of our broody girls and she was in the broody box probably sometime in February the last time but had been laying shortly after we let her out. No idea where the pale comb came from.
If you have 15 and are getting 6-9 I guess with us getting 7-10 or so everyday isn't that far out of the norm. We're adding 4 more little girls to the flock in a few weeks (if it ever warms up) and look forward to their eggs in the fall!
We do have a picker that we're actually considering getting a little wireless camera to figure out who it is. Have a few girls that have their neck feathers picked off and their butt. Kinda ticked because I think it's one of two and of course both are the best layers.

Your Welcome , If they free range they will get less layer or calcium .
Snacks shouldnt be more than 10 %
Chickens that pick can be lacking protein or have parasites . Can you add more protein to their diet ? They love sour milk ...for their snack ...I usually give them bread moistened with milk with vegetables etc mixed in
