Hey chicory. Any word ? Have been debating how I can set My coop for them and integrate them maybe for end of year before we get a lot of snow.OK, I will see if there's a way, and I would go to you in the event we can do this. Don't know even if they are still alive or available, my friend doesn't really know this person well, just sees him when on a walk, and had contacted me because that guy asked him about them two days ago. When I emailed him tonight he said he didn't know anything new.
https://pin.it/1On8CHAI will look into those. I’m kicking myself Bc all summer TSC had the large heated poultry fountains and I told myself “yeah I’ll get one when I need to” and now I’m struggling a little with it lol. I guess that’s why the saying “don’t put off for tomorrow what can get done today”
I don't think I can transport that many to you if they are still there, and I don't have any new word from my friend either on their status. I will ask again if he has seen them and post back. If they've been picked off by coyotes and hawks through the homeowner's neglect and there's 4-5 I could transport them to you in the dog crate I just got. Sorry for the wishy-washy nature of the situation!Hey chicory. Any word ? Have been debating how I can set My coop for them and integrate them maybe for end of year before we get a lot of snow.
Not a problem. Just wanted to help were I could! I’ll keep an eye/ear out. I’m sure I can throw something together rather fast for them if needed so.I don't think I can transport that many to you if they are still there, and I don't have any new word from my friend either on their status. That's so great and good of you! If I can get them to you you'll want to be able to at least somewhat quarantine them during the integration process in case there is sickness, to protect your existing flock. I wouldn't put much past the former keeper to have neglected a lot including that, and the homeowner doesn't care at all about them. Just sayin'. Will let you know. Not a problem. I got a good idea for a setup in my basement for a little bit to make sure all is well, and it stays hella cold down there (just above freezing) so it should t mess with their winter coats for when they transfer out to coop. I currently have crazy chicken pen bc it’s starting to snow so the birds are running around trying to figure out what’s going on as this is their first real snowThat's so great and good of you! Haha - yes my Buckeyes were dodging leaves this Fall! They are in a covered pen so they don't have it coming down on them now. But pretty wary when it first snowed hard here - they tumbled out of the coop in the morning and then stood stock still as they saw how white it was and everything looked different!I got a good idea for a setup in my basement for a little bit to make sure all is well, and it stays hella cold down there (just above freezing) so it should t mess with their winter coats for when they transfer out to coop. They figured it out and now I have to the two Cornish X birds (one roo and his hen) hanging out under the pallets hiding from the snow Bc they are to lazy to run back inHaha - yes my Buckeyes were dodging leaves this Fall!
