Would anyone here want free Delaware roos? Just trying to get a feel for interest since my broody is raising five chicks and unless i win the lottery, there will inevitably be a few roos

I’m in Orange County.

Also thinking about giving away my 2 orloff hens (1 year old in July) since they don’t really lay well. They are beautiful and I love them to bits, but can’t justify the costs of raising two hens who give me 3-4 small-medium eggs a week. They started laying in December...
They are both friendly birds, not lap chickens, but will follow your around for treats and tolerate handling. I've never had to chase any of my chickens down (in the run or free ranging) when I need to pick them up. One of them likes to beg to be let in at the cat door so she can get herself some cat food

The central bridge one might be the one I was thinking of. I was on FB but it stressed me out too much. The people there create drama just to do something. Like I was trying to sell one of my roosters on there and a guy contacted me about him. But would only talk to my husband about it. Didn’t want anything to do with me.

You have to have people PM you for pricing on birds. And word eggs as something different so it won’t get flagged. I see butt nuggets a lot on Etsy.

Oh wow, misogynistic much? I hate that. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I haven't seen a ton of drama but I do have some people that I really dislike the amount of "me! me!" attention they try to get. They literally comment on every single post and it's not like they're super good because everyone says they have sold sick chicks.

Some people word it differently. They'll write something like "Up for discussion" and then when someone asks how much they say "send me a pm" typically. Some groups seem to get away with listing pricing. Not sure how that happens but I know this one goat group doesn't have a problem with price listing in the description.

Yes, there's a lot of groups on FB. I am in one that is for the Hudson Valley. Just search using words like "upstate", "poultry", "livestock".
