NY chicken lover!!!!

I have to say, I haven't seen a skunk in a couple of months. Kinda nice. We went over to my SIL house. The kids didn't want to go out, so we had a nice little party at their house. They live in the village and didn't get a single visitor.

It could be that their house is somewhat "behind" another house and their lane is about 200 yards long. It is amazing how much fun kids can have with a few chem lights!

I have a few birds that I will give away just because I need to cut back, I have duplicates , or cant use.
2 black split to lavendar Orpington cockerels, which are half English. They are big beautiful boys if anyone is thinking of getting into the lavendar color. I have 2 lavendar cockerels so I don't need them.
1 buff orpington cock. I'm not breeding buff orps.

I don't remember. Someone in a later post validated that it was there on Saturday.

I've been looking all over several CL's because we're looking for two kittens. I'm being a pain in the neck, though because I want white or light colored (dilute calico ok) with long hair and females.

Anyone know of anyone with kittens like this?

Well crud.

Kittens? They had two at the CM store here. Some lady brought them in the mother abandoned them or some such thing. Then there were articles where someone dump a box full on the side of the road. Call the Central New York Cat Coalition. I have no doubt some one will bring them to you.

I didn't mention it but this year has been bad for cats here. Some time ago we had to have Merlin put down. I cried in the vets office. Then Puff got hit by a car. She was 22yrs old. or thereabouts. Then just about a month ago we had to have Stubby put down. I had DD take him I just couldn't do it again.

And then about a week ago the lady nextdoor called to say some one poisoned her cat. I don't really think it was poisoned but then you can never tell. I do know the stupid cat would get in my garage and I think it knocked over some canning jars that were way up high so perhaps it got internal injuries.

Anyhow like I said not a good year for cats here. I'm not interested in anymore. I just can't take it when they go.

We don't have cats, but yet we do. We probably have six different cats that frequent our property. It amazes me since the dogs have run of the backyard and they don't like cats anymore than they like squirrels.
