rcenter--thanks for the invite, DH didnt get home till after 5pm today and batavia is 45 minutes away from me so we couldn't go tonight. We went out to eat in Dansville tonight (10 min. away) and of DH MADE me go into
tsc there!! I walked out without a SINGLE fuzzy butt!
They actually had a pretty decent selection (Phil---what did geneseo have?) Dansville had cornish rock, white pekin ducks, bantams (3 kinds!), black australorps, a variety tub of straight run hens, amberlinks, and golden comets. (Rachel--what did Batavia have?) I am so proud of myself! I was getting the "shakes" walking out but I did it!
My chicks come in another month or so............
night night all! Hope everyone is enjoying the snow!
Amy
p.s. I've had my maran hens seperated for almost a month now, am putting the maran roo with them sunday, how long before the new eggs are fertile again? Anyone else in the area want some? Phil gets first dibs along with some of my guinea (hopefully), turkey and blue/green eggs!
p.p.s. If you guys live in the country, I CANNOT recommend guineas enough! I would've never known the fox was there yesterday if they hadn't YELLED and SCREAMED and actually started to line up a defensive front and advanced on the fox!!!!
