I'm from Watertown and I got my chicks in June from Blue Seal Feed. I'm so happy with my chickens, they just started laying Thanksgiving week. The places I know of that get chicks in are Tractor Supply on Arsenal, Agway in Lafargeville and then Blue Seal has you order what you want, they don't actually have any at the store. If you have any questions just mail me, good luck and have fun, I'm loving my girls.

I'm thinking of ordering Delaware from Sandhill cuz I'm not happy with the weight on mine. However I don't need 25 which is the minimum. Is there anything recommended to add to the order of 10 Delaware. Anything in this area you wish you could get? I'm looking at Buckeye and rosecomb RIR's. but that still leaves me 5 short.

I am trying to find out if they will vaccinate for Mereks as I have an interest in the Jahourns. They have not yet contacted me back about that and I can not find anything in the webpage about it. Five would be great.

My oldest started preschool this week which has made life even busier. It's for 2 1/2 hrs, so I wait around town. My younger one gets some one on one time with mommy. She cried at first because she wanted to stay with her sister. I brought her to the library and pet store which took her mind off big sister. This is the first chance in days that I could catch up.
I borrowed DH's truck yesterday and brought home a truck load of wood. There has been a lot of construction at work recently due to greek yogurt expansion. Temporary walls get put up, then ripped out when ready and they just throw away the wood. They waste an awful lot it seems. So instead of putting good 2x4's in the dumpster some gets made into chicken pens. That's what I told the maintenance guys last night. Free wood is worth the price of removing some nails.

You go girl. Free wood is worth removing nails, screws and even some disassembly of what it orginally was, in my mind.
