Breella---I certainly hope the horse is okay. We had one that did that and had to put it down. Vet tried everything.
Featherz--I built my silkie ramp steep like yours (newbie mistake) but they have no trouble with it. Last year they hatched chicks and those little buggers had no problems running up and down that ramp. They treated it more like a play gym than anything else. I was nervous about it at first but when I saw them literally running up and down it, I let them be. You could give it a try and see what happens.
Tots spent the first night without heat lamp. They seem fine. Outdoors again all day for them. Have to plant my bushes and do some housekeeping on the coops and mix up the compost heap. Busy day today. Going to bake a new recipe this morning and make bread. My allergies are in full bloom, along with everything else outside so I will be sniffling my way through the day.
Time to get moving. Ta for now
