NY chicken lover!!!!

Well like I said my place is an option if nobody else is seriously considering it. I'm right on Rt.66 by Hoag's Corners.

It takes me about 15 minutes to get to Hankle lumber. You are very close to me!! Mail delivery to my home is an East Nassau address. I go by your house then when I take my riding lesson in Rexford. I meet a friend in Averill Park. Then head north.

Hmmmm.... How do I get around the bio security issue if my birds free range the whole yard???? I can't very well enforce every person to disinfect or remove their shoes upon entering my yard??? Perhaps my arrangement isn't ideal for this type of gathering. I'm located in Ballston Spa.
Ahh well.... I read further down a couple people have something planned already.... I suppose ill dig up more details and see how far away it is from me....Feathers or anyone else locally located to me, perhaps we can plan an afternoon visit on a smaller scale.
enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
I'm just down the road from you in Ballston Lake. I'd be happy to help out.

ok, you are really close then. Closer than I thought anyway. It takes me about 25 minutes to get to Hankle Lumber. And you are before that.
Yup we're about 1 minute from Hankle, if that. We just bought the house in November (?) to fix up as a rental...it's taking A LOT longer to fix up then we thought it would...I just wanted it for the 2 chicken coops, I hope the renters will like chickens.

We used to drive into Lebanon to go to the auction house. Maybe you drive by both my houses if you go through Averill Park too haha

Cass - hope you're healed from your tumble! Ouch! Thank God your hubby didn't roll right over you!

Gramma - yowzers...that looks like it stings! Hope it heals quick.

Countyboy - gorgeous birds, as always. The colors are spectacular.

My new flock is doing well. Wish the warm weather would come back, though! Or at least the wind would disappear!

Hope all our BYC Moms had a great day!

I washed it with soap & water & put some Bactrin on it ( antibiotic ointment .)
I read somewhere that peroixide can harm a cut .
.Heres some info from http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/h/hydrogen-peroxide.htm#.UZBdycqK1dw

" For many of us, hydrogen peroxide was one of the first things we put on a cut or a wound, but that is less recommended nowadays. The reason, according to numerous medical sites, is that there is a downside to the hydrogen peroxide as well. It also damages healthy cells that are needed for the wounds to heal and hinders them from getting to the area where the healing needs to take place. The HealthFinder publication of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says don't use hydrogen peroxide on a wound because it interferes with healing. The U.S. Gymnastics team has followed the recommendations of researchers and uses soap and water for cleansing wounds and not hydrogen peroxide. The National Safety Council's First Aid Pocket Guide (1996) says "DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide It does not kill bacteria, and it adversely affects capillary blood flow and wound healing." The Mayo Clinic gives the same advice."

As the cut is on my face & I dont want it to scar ..I didnt use it ..
I wash / pat it a couple times a day with a moisturizing soap . As I have found that cuts heal faster if they are a little moisturized ..
