I wish I had a broody chicken! This year I had exactly one broody, in February, and she broke because I changed the bedding in the coop.

Got 3 black/blue copper maran hens a year old and laying today so exciter also came home with two ducklings one a khaki an d the other a blue Swedish wish the lady at the swap had more building a pond for them for the rest of this beautiful day

I'm happy for the nice weather time to do some clean up, mow the lawn grill, and like rancher tend to the garden!!

1 duck hatched, one pipped. So excited. The broody hen wishes I would stop picking her up to check on the progress of the next hatchling.

fantastic Cass ! That is really great news! If you get one of each or at least a female scovie you will without a doubt have a broody duck next year!

Well, I have one or the other; male or female. I hope I get at least 2 to hatch. I have them under the best broody I have ever seen or heard of. She is wonderful, to the max, so if they hatch I am pretty sure they will make it to adulthood (predator's being the only exception).

I am looking forward to watching them grow and the look on their Momma's face when they start swimming. LOL

I think I would be scared if ducks hatched chickens. what happens when momma goes in water and kids don't follow or even if they do follow.
