Plan is to go see Nuttsy and trade for some birds

one pair of CR's,
one barred frizzle roo and pullet (non friz) but the sister.
three non frizzle chicks two barred and one del pattern

I've seen you mention this Barred Frizzle more than once now, can you pleeeeease post a picture of it? I love the barred coloring on chickens, I can only imagine what a barred frizzle must look like.

Woke up this morning and decided to post an ad on CL for this washer and dryer we have had sitting in the shed ever since we moved in. This house had a washer and dryer but we figured we'd save ours in case anything ever happened to these. Well now we need the space in our shed for the john deer this winter so we need those two appliances out of there. Posted an ad, got a response within 5 minutes from someone. Emailed me 4 time back and forth and now I haven't heard anything. Got another from someone asking if they were still available and demanding I email them with my "direct email" so they can contact me and I'm just like what?!? What the heck does it matter which email you use! And even if I wanted to email them from mine, they hid theirs so how the heck am I supposed to that?!? Man I hate CL! So many weirdos out there! There has got to be another form of selling items online other than CL....Maybe I'll try hoobly.

I had a welsummer that got taken as well. I wanted to see who laid a darker egg.
So far, I think they are beautiful, I love the lacing and dark coloring on them. They aren't overly friendly I got them when they were 2 months old. They are trusting me a little more now. I'm hoping they will be good winter layers like I read about, I don't supplement with light.
They do act like little alarms with the roo. If he makes a warning call they chime right in.

Thats interesting didnt know they were good winter layers.

I'll take a couple before he goes. What I like about the barred or cuckoo is the camouflage that it gives the birds. Sometimes I could only tell where they were by the red of their combs.

I am slowly checking BYC out. Trying to figure out how to navigate and post. Chickens are the best therapy ever. I started out eith the 4 BOs and then let one broody girl raise 2, but as teens they somehow met their demise. One I think got stung by a hornet she was pestering and the other was killed by a rat snake. I got him when he came back for eggs. My next broody hen raised 2 lacewinged Wydnottes. They are 16 months old now and add to the circus act that is ever going. Then last July my husband built a new coop so my favorite hen could play Momma to 3 new chicks. I got 3 different breeds this time. She didn't care. One didn't make tge first week because I was stupid and left out a basin of water and she drown. That broke my heart. She was a little Plymouth Rock. The other teo are doing great. Princess is a Rhode Island White and Whatnot is a Barred Rock. The girls all get along. I think I am up to my limit. I like things really clean, so 8 is enough to clean up after. I am over protective. Trying to be less so, but it doesn't come easy.

There used to be the Swat Sheet, but they just went out of business. We used to put a lot of stuff in that paper. I had a bunch of baby stuff for sale in the paper when they went out of business. I was trying to figure out where to post things that I wanted to sell and thought about CL, but now havng second thoughts.
