It usually takes my wife a few adult beverages before she starts marking the yard

I like the Brahma…the other guys were like "supermodels" of the chicken world, no normal chicken would stand that way. lol.

These were GORGEOUS. Amazing how upright some of those breeds stand. Thx for sharing!

I'm sorry to hear your sad news. It's hard to lose someone you love. I feel bad for your brother, too, having his special day marked with sadness.

Look at your precious daughters and somehow those little angels will bring you comfort. They'll have a special guardian angel now.

Guilty as charged! Before we leave for long weekends, I like to personalize the exterior of the chicken's area with a little of my private stock. Anything to keep them safer!

Thanks for the well wishes.

My brother wasn't affected by her loss being he passed of colon cancer Dec 23rd. Us family were swept up with all the memories which was and is tough.

So I was cleaning out our "Junk Drawer" in the kitchen today and found this loose light/plug that used to belong to my son's robot lamp. I found a light bulb that fit it and seeing as how I moved the chicken coop close to the porch, I can now have light in the coop for an extra couple of hours a day!!

Hopefully this will help with their lack of laying this year!
