Well I've got some BR's in but am scouting out more. BR's , Dels and CR's. are my plan to hatch. Looks like it could be expensive for eggs this year, but I'll be sure to keep more growing out. I will definitely be learning to process. I expect I'll be giving away a few processed chickens too.

I will NOT be caught without enough roosters ever again.

Armor im so excited, looks like 2 more are about to pip.

Lynzi im using a homemade incubator, my parents bought a forclosed house so i took a bunch of stuff that was left behind and used some of it to build it. The only thing i bought was a water heater thermostat sponges and another thermometer/hydrometer.

They are suppose to just be golden duckwing leghorns mixed with amber sexlinks but one looks like i put a barred rock egg in there.

That's great you were able to make one! That's what I originally wanted to do but got lazy and ended up picking up LG when I was at TS earlier this year. What did you do as far as humidity?

Take a lesson from nature and teach your kids. No one can teach them the things YOU want them to know better than you.

Aria, if you can't figure it out you might try the "right click" then "copy image". Then right click in the "reply" window. It will say "paste". Then a window will open and you "paste" in there, then "OK".

That's great you were able to make one! That's what I originally wanted to do but got lazy and ended up picking up LG when I was at TS earlier this year. What did you do as far as humidity?

I did 35 - 40 then upped it to 65 for lock down. I thought about buying one but too much money and too many choices so between the byc incubator page and youtube i came up with one. Its heavy because i used a night stand but thats good keeps it steady.

Camp for kids , Hunters for the hungry, flying overseas to perform for free time and time again to perform for the troops, all really scary stuff ....insert sarcasm here

Camp for kids is an organazation Ted started decades ago to keep kids off of the street and to teach them a simpler lifestyle. Hunters for the hungry is in EVERY state and feeds the homeless venison DONATED by hunters. Another Ted program.
All good stuff. If you want a really good read pick up "Bloodtrails The truth about bowhunting.". It is a very humbling story about Teds hunting beginnings. But it is more than that. It is a LIFE story. A lesson in life. To be positive in yourself. Believe in yourself. A story and lesson in positive thinking. I 1st read it in my mid 20's when I was going through quite a rough patch. Honestly it changed my outlook on life. 20 plus years later I still follow the same values and think the same way.
Out to the shop to make the almighty dollar
