Seriously though, Why would a fertile egg not develop at all in an incubator? When I started this hatch I had 4 silkie eggs in there that were fertile. Nothing happened with them so I chucked them. I recently placed two more in there after setting the next 3 aside. Checked one of the three and it was fertile. Today is day 4 these eggs have been in the bator and not a single vein! So I am literally down to 1 single Orp egg in the bator. I will be shocked if it hatches. And if it does hatch, at least I have those EEs to place it with. I'm giving up on the hatching for a little while. Although I'm going to want to test out my Brinsea when I get it for Christmas so if the Silkie isnt laying any more by then I'll try some Orp eggs.

I love her size too. I'll bet I could dust the whole house with her.

That is strange did you ever open up the eggs that never developed?

One school party down and one to go.

Good luck.

Be forwarned Lynzi. You're going to LOVE your Brinsea. I have an Eco-20. I follow the manufacterers directions for hatching and if it's fertile it hatches !!!!

You may have little Aliens running all around your yard in the spring !!

Yea they were just yellow, no veins no nothing. So weird

Then I think your Brinsea will probably do the trick then. Is the one your getting one with an egg turner? O gotta find a motor to build my egg turner.

Are you 100% sure they were fertile? Are they fresh eggs? If you come up this way and want to bring some for me to try I will, or have someone else try. If they succeed then you'll know it's you. If not then you'll know it's your birds.

Any chance they are related? Where did you get your birds? Fertility/hatchability can be a problem with show lines.
