NY chicken lover!!!!

I have to say I like the no points on comb. I don't know why but I don't like the points on single combs. That nice round look he has now I wish there was a breed for that. Hard to tell how the waddles will look once he stands are they wrinkled or flater like before?

I'm wondering how I can breed my marans, Dels and CR's to be rosecombs. I've consider switching to RIR's rosecombs, but they may still throw a straight comb. I also like some Brown LF leghorns too. Good layers but not nice personalities. Not sure the LF come in the rosecomb varieties.

FYI, The PP mag has a breed of chickens that looks to be a cross between an Araucana and a Brahma. Not butt but feathered legs. Very rare and I believe they are small. Wonder if GF will be getting any of those.

Oh man, forgot to turn the light out on the coops tonight and Gru is out there crowing away! Ugh DH is closing tonight and he's usually the one to unplug the light at night for me. Oops! Hopefully he'll shut up soon!

It's day 18... is it just me or does this guy look like a runt? The egg is big, but the chick is barely taking up half of it. I know it's alive. It put its foot on the egg and wiggled its toes at me. All the other eggs are blue/green and impossible to candle at this time because color and they're so full of chick. It's just this Leghorn/Dark Brahma that I can see well and what I see makes me wonder.

Not very big but they are there. I did some research today and am going to follow the "guide" of another hatcher that used this incubator.

The problem with filling wells is it don't take into account out side temp or humidity which will highly affect your incubator humidity. I'm trying to find one that has a prob that would fit into it but not seeing luck I am seeing here someone had humidity over 45% following directions because of they're out side heat/humidity.

Looks like it has quite a ways to go even...weird. Guess you'll find out soon. All your other eggs are doing well it sounds like??
