NY chicken lover!!!!

Yeah they seem to be turning around alittle. Still hate this house and think it's a money pit but will take the loss for now till I can sell it.  Still sober also. Really only felt like drinking one or two nights so far and one was because I got of work early and was bored when walking through walmart but we went looking at o
Gother stuff so got distracted.

Going to order a pellet stove tomorrow if I cant find one around here that I want to buy I have to try to find a pellet stove shop because when I checked homedepot and tsc they didn't have any when looked but going to check hamberg out also.
be carefull with what stove you get and keep an eye on it my aunts auger got stuck on and keep feeding it waws a insert started on firebut she wasn't all ways the brightest rigged it to hold about 1 or 2 bags of pellets

Quote: 50 years ago...ahem....we didn't know a storm was coming until it got here!!!! I remember 1966...businesses closed for 4 days. the snow was up to the top of the 1st floor windows...snow banks were 20 feet high, this is nothing!

I remember that ! We got sooo much snow ! No school no plows ...couldnt even tell there was a road in front of our house for days !

My husbands family remembers a snow drift at his house that went all the way up to the top of a full size barn !

Either from the Seller or from Ebay if the seller is AOL

Yes Ebay owns Paypal They double dip .
Ebay charges me to have a store , when I list a item ..and a percentage of the total sale ..
Yes they make us pay them some of the shipping cost the buyer pays .

Ebay made a rule that sellers can only take Paypal ..& can not say in the listing that they accept checks or money orders
However ...if someone asks me can I take a check or money order ..I will ...do that for people that ask me to .
Paypal works good for most transactions as it is a instant payment ...and I dont personally know the person .
They dont see my financial information & I dont see theirs either
As a business I pay a percentage to paypal ..

Went out last night to see Monument Men and have dinner. Liked the movie, it really had the feel of a WW2 movie, but with current actors...I liked it, but a couple of others thought it was slow at times...it was very snowy. But I was impressed with the snow we had accumulated overnight. I've been feeling a little neglected by snow this year, so this feels right. I will get to shovel to the coop, and maybe go snowshoeing, it will feel like winter. Late morning or early afternoon Iwill go to wegmans to see if they have anything I want to make for dinner, and maybe make chocolate covered strawberries...oh yum.

Our plow guy came in the middle of the night, he is so thoughtful! He has never done that, we had told him mid morning was fine, but he must have been worried that DH couldnt get out to go to work. I think we have found the perfect guy!

Well now I made two mistakes using paypal. I could have sent checks which is fine with me. See here's the deal. If I send you a check you don't have to send the eggs or whatever til it clears your bank.

I just ordered eggs from a friend and I won't get them til next month. My choice, but still I could have sent him a check and he would have avoided the Paypal fees.

There are fees, by the way, no matter how you send payment. Which I suspect some sellers roll into the shipping charges. Just as some roll into the price when they say "Free shipping".

So it seems to me it's best to accept an money order, postal is cheapest, or accept a check and wait for it to clear before sending the item. Of course this affords the buyer no security, but I trust BYC friends and they have to give me their address. I can find them if I need to.

Survived the snow bringing Miss T to dance tonight. Next time I'll drive a snowmobile tho...that was awful! Gonna go eat some bread....
I ran out of bread this morning!!!

What am I going to do! PANIC! I should have bought a bunch before the storm!

Well we finally got some snow. Took me 1 1/2 hours to snow blow the drive clean off two cars and do the paths to the coops. Their water wasn't froze solid so I'll go out in a bit and top things off with hot water. I think the rubber tubs work best for me and them. They can get more water with them, than the nipples. The large tubs hold more than a gallon and seem to not freeze over too fast. I go out once a day to break any ice that does accumulate. Being under the awnings of the hoops keeps the snow out and them from freezing to the ground.

Incu is holding at 100.5 or so and that's good. Have 13 EE's, 10 BM's, 2 that I hope are friz/aruacana crosses and the rest Dels. total 40. I don't expect them all to be fertile but we will see. I have some EE's with the Aruacana roo and some with the EE roo. I have some of each of there eggs in the incu.

I took some of the BM's and wiped them with a dry scrubby, marked them and will be interested to see if they do better than the non scrubbied ones. I have a hard time with BM eggs hatching.

I can see bits of dark red in the newest EE which I hope is a pullet, so it might be a RIR cross. It would be nice, but it may be a roo too. Time will tell. No crowing yet, though I think the BR/BM is trying. That one I am sure is a roo.

No one has answered my question about which breed lays the bluest eggs?
