I held the marshmallow and egg basket on one side and picked up eggs with the other hand. Used my hip to support her. I am becoming more talented at doing things one handed. Now I'm curious. How did you hold a little pink marshmellow AND eggs?

I know people who probly would have boys available for the buff barred project. My one friend Nancy even has Buff Barred frizzles.

What? You need to get a wagon. I put Donovan in his car seat, set it in the wagon, put my collection can in the back and pulled him around the yard to each coop while I collected eggs. Showed him the SLW hen. He wasn't impressed.
I do have a wagon. I will use it in the yard when the snow melts. We have steps going down into barn at both doors leading to the chickens that would be difficult for the wagon

today is day 8... I just candled all but the maran and OE eggs. All of mine have a very small ( probably yoke) size shadow.. Does that mean they are clear? Your 4 JG eggs have a large dark shadow most of the egg.. 3 of the EE eggs are like mine and one of the EE eggs are like the JG. I didn't see any blod vessels or anything like that. I think I stored my eggs to cold. Also my Roos were new and I only started seeing them do their business with the hens when I was just about done collecting my eggs. I have a Silkie roo that is getting kinda picked on. He goes after the big EE guy tho. So I think ill pass on the roo. Thank you thoYou should see some blood veins starting to form by 7-10 days. If they are not developing and it doesn't work out let me know and I will collect a couple dozen more for you. I have an extra bantam rooster if you need one. Very cute and so single-minded about his romantic life he even tackles the LF cochins. Terrorizes the big roosters, but is very sweet with humans. Hatched last year from my first batch of test eggs I got from someone with about 200 mixed breeds all running together.
I also ordered 3 baby Roos this spring. A NN, Phoenix, and WCB Polish. I'm giving my EE roo to a friend. My 8 year old wants to raise Pheonix and BLRW. And my 10 year old wants to raise NN, WCB polish. My 3 year old LOVES Cochins and can tell them apart, and my 14 year old loves anything silver laced. My husband likes Jearsy Giants, EE and now that he has seen those dark brown/red eggs he wants Marans. can I buy a couple pure bred maran chicks from you if you hatch some out? I JUST LOVE ALL CHICKENS
