Did you get your loaf of bread, gallon of milk and LARGE pack of TP? If you didn't you are gonna regret it, cuz they don't make TP after the end of the world.

Funny, all day I'm like Hmmmm, where can we venture out to to eat? LOL It may take us 2 hours to get there but I'm so sick of the food we have here and what's sad is we ate out all weekend. You would think I'd be sick of it.

what are porcelains ? Or silver partridge? Ill have to google them.. Scoharie is west of Albany. Do you know where how's caves are? I'm 10 min from there. I'm probably 45 min + from Troy. I'm busy sat too. Moving. We are selling our house and moving down the road lol. DH and I only have sat to really get stuff done. He works all week and Sunday we both volunteer in our church.
I think we decided on white silkies, I guess they are hard to come by. I have only had white silkies lol but all have been Roos. Thank you tho!!!

Well like I said it was too much work

and DW would have a fit if she knew I put them in the tub. I carried them in clothes basket and of course had to wash that too. I have five remember.

Man is the weather crappy. DW says they won't let them leave early. DD who works for an insurance company did get out early. Our road looks bad.

I've been reading on another site about using sand in the coop instead of shavings. I may give that a try. Course it will take a lot of sand to cover the floor. Plus I may figure out how to install a drop board.

Don't know what to do about duckies though.

I don't expect to hatch anymore chicks this year. I've posted to CL but no takers for the Dels. I don't really need anymore hens. I'm getting plenty of eggs for sure.

Rancher, I did sand. I HATED it once got over 10 birds in the coop. I did NOT have a poop board because they roost in the rafters. Even before my flock grew to over 10 I had to shovel out some of the sand and replace it due to "urine saturation" and it smelled soooo bad. If you try it, try it in your smallest coop so if it doesn't work you don't have a lot of sand to shovel out. (oh, and sand it a LOT heavier than wood shavings)

Cortland TSC got the chick shipment for this week: Barred Rock, Partridge Rock, Cornish X, Tetra Tints, bantams (they said white ones, so likely the leftover silkies).

Didn't shop for the storm. And the TP we get from SAMs Club, we should be good for a while...now we have 9inches. They said it would be light snow until about 2 pm then be heavier until the middle of the night. But it was the opposite. Very fine snow now. We'll see what happens overnight.

Well scratch that! 81 South is completely shut down. He just called to let me know he's getting off the hwy because a tractor trailed turned over. Gotta take backroads all the way home.
