congrats on the new babys ..i am wondering tho if the one is a welsummer chick ..i just got a handful of them and they look exactly like the one you have shown in your pic..i no you list them but here you take a look and tell me your opinion..




i guess chicks can look a lot alike ..even tho they are from different breeds..i just thought it was amazing how close they look to each other ..lol

Many chickens do look alike as chicks. Kinda like babies. I like when folks say they look like Dad or they look like Mom or Gramma or, or then they grow up and you find out they look like the milk man.

The Ducks survived til morning. And I slept well. I cannot keep worrying about these darn ducks. I love them, they are soooo funny and cute....but they are gonna give me a heart attack if I don't just let them be. Maybe if I get Runner ducks? They don't swim do they?

My Runners swim all the time.

Think all ducks swim some. I'm not liking my ducks too much. They are so anti-me. I let them out of coop and they only come when I go to other side of window and they get scared out of the coop. I put food like 5 feet away and they come and grab a bite then run away. Chickens are so much nicer than ducks except my rooster who came at me yesterday and I shamed him so bad he ran away for likle 30 min and still hides from me a few days after his shameing.

I agree they're not friendly like my chickens. And they are messy, messy, messy. I'm getting ready to post them on CL.

Ok anyone in the Albany, Cairo or directly off the 90 in between there and buffalo have a barred Rock roo they want gone. Doesn't need to be nice or quality.

I looked them up one other time ...They are kind of like black Sumatra .Price was enough to discourage me ..

Still looking? LOL, I'm surprised how hard they've been to find! Just so you know, we are about 30 minutes off of Rt 90 (both from Geneva and Canandaigua). Still a hike for you, though.

Your telling me. That's a common breed. My fiancé might have no choice since he sprung this trip on me and I had to take a second day off of work. Would you be available late tomorrow afternoon being that it's Easter? You should have seen me updating the locations on my craigslist app all the way here searching. My fiancé said I'm looney. Then we turn onto his moms rd and there's a flock of chickens across the street and I'm searching the flock to see if they have one. Can we say desperate?

GRRRRR....someone (and I don't remember who) said that Muscovy ducks don't swim all the time and my pond would not be as attractive to that breed as other breeds. Weeellll....the ducks are out on the pond and won't come in. Period. It's dark. They are still out there. I got the drake into the coop leading him with the light of a flashlight. The hen wouldn't do the same. Then the drake went back out seaching for her. So they are BOTH out there. If something eats them I am DONE with ducks. I am sooo done with late night searching for animals/birds. They can ALL DIE and when I am done crying about losing them I will hatch some more chickens and EAT THEM. Done. Done done DONE.
