NY chicken lover!!!!

Anyone locally (albany/schoharie area) have duck hatching eggs?  I have a teacher friend who wants to hatch them in the classroom.  Mixed breeds are fine, I'll be taking the ducklings and don't mind lots of color!

Thanks!

I can have approx 15 ready to ship out Monday, you'd get them Wednesday next week...

This last one was seconds before he tried attacking me, luckily there is a fence between us.

you can see the swagger starting to boil up in him in that last pic ..lol..a defensive or maybe offensive stance ..haha ..i had a roo that would dip his wings and run at me ..just once tho ..i would pick him up and carry him around for like a hlf hr till he got it ..lol..he stopped doing that after he relised i was alpha and much bigger then him ..he turned out to be a very friendly bird after that ..a man and his little boy bought him from us after the fair last yr ..it was the first bird the kid could hold and not fuss with him ...he was a speckled Sussex..i had 2 of them both roos ..i think that's why he was so mean at first ..the other one was a big baby from the start..

I can definitely tell when he is about to attack. The place I got him from he wasn't the dominant roo. The other one they had was way bigger.

hes just trying to set the pecking order ..you can stop him ..everytime he shows signs of attacking you grab him and hold him , everytime he trys mounting a hen while you are there step twards him or grab at him ..don't let him think hes in charge ..he'll figure it out after a little bit ..hes seeing you and thinking "look at me and what I can do with you standing there and doing nothing about it"..when he relises you are top roo in this flock..try this for a week or so ..he'll learn ..lol ..

Some pictures someone took at the Farm Bureau auction. Don't see myself leaving empty handed, luckily the checkbook's lack of funds will slow me down.
