I hope that you guys in Delanson are okay! Hope and pray that it wasn't your house that was destroyed, or your families.

Chicks are very sensitive to smells....you might want to hold off on the painting until you have longer for it to air out before you put chicks in it. For that matter, why paint it at all...they are only going to poop all over it.
(Someone reported a bird dieing from air freshner sprayed in the air)
So worried about the hatching eggs I bought at the chickenstock last week. Yesterday's storm caused a 4 hour power outage and they got down to 81 degrees. I covered the incubator with a big fluffy towel to try and keep the heat in and hoped for the best. There was a tornado one town over and we only got rain. The huge hail and wind missed us, so we were lucky.
Has anyone else had hatching eggs survive a power outage? They were on day 5 of development.
Same here.I hope that you guys in Delanson are okay! Hope and pray that it wasn't your house that was destroyed, or your families.
Dh is skinning him right now. I plan to hang the pelt where all the fox can see so they know what happens when they mess with my chickenscool! You could make a nice hat out of him?![]()
