LynzI, I have only used blucote and have used it in conjunction with one of those triple antibiotic creams that we have around the house, but it can't be the kind with pain relief, as that is toxic. I have read that the vetericyn is good, and it prob does the antibiotic thing. The important thing about blucote is that it stains the wound blue so others don't investigate the red area. If you are keeping him away from everyone until he is healed, that would be less important. When he meets them all again, he should have a long gradual introduction, like weeks of seeing each other, then a short time together supervised...if you rush it he will pay the price.
