Here is what I got done today wish I would have taken before pics , because it is massive, took town old fence, picked up, a beat back tons of prickers, and carried up all the boards,

Looking good! How does noon on Friday work for you?

I met up with LadyHawkeAvry today, who very kindly brought me some sebbie eggs from a local breeder so I didn't have to do shipped. Lacie is very happy with her two additional eggs - and these ones will hatch for her! I expect a very happy goose in about 30 days.

I also let the cemanis have some VERY supervised free range time while I cleaned out their coop. Hopefully the clean coop, nice nesting box, and time out in the fresh air will convince the ladies to start laying for me. Also, Raptor is a bit dense. He danced for my hen Lemon, she squatted, and then he just stared at her like, "Oh, I didn't expect that" and did nothing until she got up and flared at him, at which point they just stared at each other until she walked away.

Nobody has any light brahma and/or standard cochin chicks? None? :-(

i breed brahmas, darks, blue/gold partridge, lights, all of the above are going into incubator as i just bought the eggs to replace my entire flock to predation. i set 9 lt brahma eggs, but will not have eggs to hatch or chicks to sell till next year.

Works great for me and thanks I am super worn out but had a good day with weather and pain and just went for it

Does anyone on here sell fertile black austrolorp eggs i have a friend who wants to hatch some

Well, a weird thing happened tonight while I was taking care of the chicks. Everyone was in the pool broody all happy, and I did a head count to make sure everyone was fine, 4 silkies, 5 ducklings, 2 sex links, 2 australorps, three frizzles, 2 older mix chicks. Yep, everything in order, everyone running around the brooder happily. Look into my other brooder with my olive eggers and they are all good, petting them a little, and I hear a chick screeching in the pool brooder. One silkie is down, convulsing on the ground, legs flailing, head flailing, just not good. Picked it up, it went limp. It's still alive and I've separated it into its own brooder to see if it can recover from whatever the heck happened. Anyone have any ideas what happened? Perhaps a chick pecked its head and hit it just right? I really have no idea, it was running around and eating and drinking three minutes before this happened.

This is Maureen she's been committed. Just went off the deep end of the coop. Writing songs about her love of chickens. "Uncle Bucks got cotton, Uncle Bucks got corn, Uncle Bucks got chickens ain't never been borned. Ooooohhhh Uncle Buuuucccckkkk".

If it was a human I would say stroke...Sorry, I have not seen that in my limited chicken experience. I hope she is okay!
