NY chicken lover!!!!

Hi, I haven't been on this thread in a while but I'm just wondering if all of you got the tornado warning yesterday. I heard that some one in NY actually saw the tornado. I'm glad it didn't cause damage.
Yes, I saw the "tornado watch" when I checked Monday night, but when I told my Dad & he checked later that evening, it was gone.
Just rain here, no signs of a tornado, and thankfully the power didn't go out - too many chicks with heat lamps & the incubator!!

It's so wonderful to see nature carrying on in such a human populated world. I know that these turtles can become a problem but they deserve to live too. The areas of refuge are so small and even then dotted with roads that its hard for anything native to survive. Thank you for taping this. :)
your welcome ...our neighbor caught a snapper laying eggs in her flower garden ..
she chased her out ...I thought it was pretty cool she was doing it ..Now I cant wait for Babies ....
I think she did it last year too but I didnt know it ..as one was stuck in our garden area last year ..in the morning ...and couldnt get out

Sorry I meant to answer this ...sometimes it comes back ..only time will tell .
She should have a quiet place & rest ...No layer for a few days ...if you have baby feed give her that & greens
Yes push it back in ...after rubbing it with Prep H ..Also rub RAW honey on it also helps the damaged tissue heal ..
I had a young hen that had this happen to her ...as far as I know it has never reoccurred ..

Before I pop him on craigslist, anyone interested in an ayam cemani cross cockerel? I thought for a while he might be a pullet but that would appear not to be the case! He might have the blue egg gene, I'm not really sure what was in his father. He's well behaved and cute, with little muffs and a pea comb. He's mostly white with some gray, black, and buff leakage.

Does this mean you are building a new coop for silkies rancher?

Someone on here was saying they had blue partridge brahmas. I think it was Purpletie? I am raising a few myself this year and was wondering if anyone would trade a nice blue roo. Or I will buy it if you don't one one of my blue partridge. All my blue roos are from the same pen as my girls that I am keeping. I would like a back up roo not related to my girls. I have quite a few extra Pullets and would trad a Pullet if you need one. Also if I make it to the August chickenstock I will most likely have a few for sale if anyone is interested. They are from chickenhill, from 2 different breeding pens, so you will be able to get a breeding pair or trio if you like. Thanks!
