NY chicken lover!!!!

Can anyone tell if this is a pullet ? its legs are starting to look large .
I hope not ...too many roos here already out of 18 I may have 7 pullets .

Post on "what gender is this". Everyone is great. If you tell me the bird is12 weeks or under...it's a boy. Plus the barring has more white than black, so that is not good either. Post it on the other forum and you will have a million experts weighing in!

In the Cuckoo and Barred patterns males are generally a light color than the females. You can sex them as chicks. Set him side by side with the others. Pullets will be darker than the males.

They are one of the easiest to sex. You can use the spot system and the color system. Males generally have a more spread out spot on the tops of their head. Females more concentrated.

I'm saying rooster, judging by the light barring and the color coming in on the wing bow, and I think I also see some rooster hackle feathers starting to peak out.
