Well Easter came and the kids got chickens. Now Christmas is coming and one wants a horse, one wants a cow, 2 want pigs. Blasted Easter Bunny!!! If I ever catch him I'm cooking him up.

. I'm your neighbor in Middleburgh. What kind of chickens do you have?

So, uh. Turns out our chickens are laying now. They found a nice little hiding spot behind the shed.
Haha, mine did the same thing time when I first got started. But it was a much larger stash under weeds in the middle of summer, so they all got tossed :/

I could get myself in trouble with one of these.
Figured I'd post it in case anyone 'needs' one...

I "need" one really bad. Unfortunately that's a little out of my price range with Christmas and 5 kids and 2 family parties. I am getting one just after the new year though. I don't think my girls will hatch enough for me.

Oh!! Question! ! Is hoarding eggs a sign of broodieness? I have a WL who has been stealing eggs as they are laid and rolling them to her nest. She sits on them and then throws a fit when I take them. Once I take them she seems ok until another egg is laid. Then she starts all over.
