NY chicken lover!!!!

On day 11 with BCM and Blue Wheaten Ameraucana in bator. Day 7 candling showed both of my flocks seem to have excellent fertility despite the crazy weather we have been having. My BCM's seemed to have stopped laying with this new cold front. I'm going to start my second bator going this Saturday and It seems like it will be mostly BWA. One of my girls is laying a deep blue egg that I am trying to maximize in my breeding.

AVF may not be right Avian Influenza.

With grandkids it might be convenient to have a rug cleaner on hand. Too I'd have to lift the store rental and I can't do that, but you may be right.

I like Goldendoodles but they're expensive. Still I like them. Saw one once when delivering mail. Very nice dog. I recognized it right off. Our last dog was a Rottweiler.

I'll have to check those wood chips.

@rancher hicks on Craigslist there is a listing for free wood chips. Its in Liverpool and the guy will deliver. Not sure if your interested but I know woodchips are great to have. That's just to far for me to go.
I shot him an email offering to trade three dozen eggs for delivery. We shall see.

Teddy (the dog) was a rescue, he was about 6 months old when we got him - so he was just the cost of the rescue. He is a very nice, very tolerant dog, great with the kids. But he is as dumb as a bag of rocks. I thought that a golden doodle would be smart - poodles are smart, goldens are easy to train. Not our dog though. He will sit, and sometimes comes when called. Thats it. I had border collies and siberian huskies growing up. I had a cat trained on voice commands. I had a mutt that knew over 30 individual commands. Teddy only sits. He won't even fetch. If you throw a ball he looks at you like you are insane for throwing his things. I've heard from several folks that their 'doodles' were not intelligent dogs.
Golden Doodles do shed, almost as much as a golden retriever - it just depends on what 'blend' you end up with.

I've never had a Rottweiler. I think I'd like a German Shepard next, something really smart and easy to train. Or maybe a Great Pyrenees. Or an Old English Sheepdog....
