ha ha I have a hen that HAS to be his exact sister with white around the neck and the nice feet feathers - I am VERY glad she doesn't crow at all hours of the night !

Mine crow at 4 very briefly every night and then are quiet until dawn. Weird.

I guess to a chicken 4:00 am is a sunrise ...if I am up ..I hear my roosters crow at 4:30...you can just see the sun rays starting to peek in the horizon
Cowboy is still a mamas boy .. ...so he is very aware of where I am

Cowboy just Crowed when I open the outside door and talked to the cat ..LOL

I haven't heard my rooster or cockerels crow before 7 a.m. right now. My rooster goes to roost early and sleeps in. We all hate this cold weather. And we're lazy.

Maui only crows when I open the coop door. He is new to crowing, and it sounds like a death scream haha. Makes me jump everytime. He is a sweetheart too.

Your Silkie Chicks are adorable.  We had a Flock of Silkies and new to
chickens.  We LOST most of our flock.  Trying to rebuild.  Where did you
get your eggs?  Good Luck.  I read you can count on `1/2 successful

My eggs came from magnolia silkies. I was really looking for the blue creams but only 1 hatched. I have 7 out of 8 blue cream doing well in the incubator right now and 9 buff. Rubynala has nice birds and is local.

Do you also keep Birchen Maran hens? I know some people that are looking for eggs. I only have a pair that have not reached hatching age. So no eggs to offer. But they might be interested in buying some from YOU instead?!
