I'm sorry, where are they coming from? Do you have a tracking number? Mine from Ideal made it in today and they are all healthy and energetic, so don't give up, yours could be just fine.

Meanwhile I do have an adult bird that reached the destination sort facility that should be getting in today that so far hasn't.

Yes have a tracking number...have been on phone with several post offices and their 800 number... No one knows where the chicks are except en route to destination.... They shipped yesterday...and I'm being told won't be at my post office til Saturday!!! Though hatchery said 1-2 days... So now waiting I guess... Not happy at all. Won't mail order again ... As of right now they are who knows where between MN and who knows where in NY

That's actually pretty normal, unless you paid specifically for overnight express. If you just did priority, they will almost always take two to three days. Mine shipped Tuesday and arrived today. They can make it for three days, they have enough yolk. for them.

Call your post office ...tell them you have chicks coming ..and that you want a call from them ...when they get them ..so you can pick them up when they come in ..so they dont die

That's actually standard procedure, they always call when chicks come in and the hatchery always puts the number on the box. My PO called me this morning for mine before they even opened and had me come and get them, which was great. But it's never a bad idea to give them a heads up that chicks are on the way.

I paid extra to get 'Little Richard' to his new home - he made it in record time I think! Shipped at 2pm, arrived by lunchtime next day - I was impressed with the Postal service for once....

Yes it is them already called and spoke to them. And washing given an option on diff shipping. Humph ... Idk what day they hatched ...so with 30degree temps and waiting til up to Saturday .... They shipped yesterday afternoon....and Saturday we will be extreme cold
