Would be a waste to put them in recycling when I myself have had times that I put out a message to friends and family for egg cartons.

I'd love to keep quail, but I just don't have the space. I've heard that they need to be kept separately from the chickens. As far as chickens, the Lavender Orpingtons are sweet, but I'm looking for some Marans that lay the really dark-shelled eggs. Trying to go for "rainbow eggs."Will be hatching quail and Lavender Orpingtons in the Spring.

I eat the smaller eggs ...2 are just right ...or sell them for a 1.00 lessWell, we are GAINING experience, that's for sure! But, unfortunately three of our newer girls we THOUGHT were going to lay large but looked them up again and it says medium, so very doubtful they will get bigger, we're giving them a little time before we decide to trade/sell them though.
Put them On Craigslist - free someone will take themHello, NY chicken lovers! After 5 years on BYC, I just found this group. I'm in the Rochester area, and I have a few dozen egg cartons to give away (since my girls stopped laying during their molt and I had to buy eggs for the first time in a half dozen years). Any takers?
