NY chicken lover!!!!

My DD's birthday is March 1st. I will be setting some eggs to hatch for her special day. It's usually the only thing she wants. If anyone ones to join in, let me know. Setting eggs on February 8th for chickens to hatch on March 1st which will leave plenty of time for an Easter hatch too!

Have a wonderful and happy New Year to all of my BYC PEEPS!

and do you want my ee/dom roo LOL... he needs a home.

I don't need another roo thanks, but the ee's will be EE's crossed with a Lav Amer. Rooster. Should turn out nice egg color, though one never knows with ee's I think.

Oh almost forgot. HAPPY NEW YEAR,

Rancher

I have the opposite disease. I have gohens disease. Neighbor needs more hens to bring her flock more into ratio for the roos she has (too small to eat, yet). So I am giving her 2 of my hens....cuz they came from the exact same enabler as her current flock.

BUT!!!! Do not fret, sweet friends of mine....it's all part of my master plan. My coop is FULL. VERY full. So with my plan to sell one roo in the spring and giving her 2 hens I have room for at LEAST 5 new birds in the spring...RIGHT? See, sometimes gohens disease is a good thing.

And Stonykill? I soooo want some eggs when I get a broody. I can either trade you eating eggs or I can give you cash. I really, really want some chickens in my trees. (And I have the cash from Christmas to get what I want.)

absolutely! Just let me know when you have a broody!

she is wheaten but not blue thats why we named her snowy she's kinda more white than lav or blue

in the spring i would love some more ee eggs to hatch and i am going to be looking for bantams: barred rock, americaunas, rir, faverolles.

Meepit, we don't have a roo and were considering getting one or saving one of the male chicks I hatch out in the Spring. Do you have a photo of your guy?

I have 10 girls (one is a bantam) and they used to have a roo before we moved. I wonder if they're happier with one or without one. I'd be glad if he "protected" his ladies. They all stay in our fenced in back yard.

So if I hatched out his eggs with my ladies, would they all be some form of Easter Egger? I have two EE's among others.

She is nice. I'm not all that concerned with color of bird just color of egg.
