I've a B. Maran hen with two new chicks. One is a Del but I've no idea what the other is. Perhaps and Orpington. I know it's pure cuz I selected the eggs special. Her last batch got eaten I think. This time I made sure she was in a nest and not under the boxes on the floor.

This is one of Mrs. Beasley's chicks, a Brahma/Sussex cross. They should be quite large and very beautiful when they're grown!

I love them! They like to jam themselves around the stump in the corner of the run and sleep in a duck pile for some reason.

handsome and beautiful. Sorta like huge mallards. our ducks, both the runners and the Pekins do the same. Sleep on top of one another.

Here is my boy "Oreo". His big boy feathers are getting very pretty. Gold, saphire, and beatle green. The picture unfortunately doesn't do him any justice. Everyday I see him do something new as far as taking care of the hens. He is especially fond of my silkies hens, he takes special care with them because they are kind of like space cadets (mainly they can't see because of their crests). He is WONDERFUL and clucks to them kindly and rounds them up if they get too far from him! I have 2 small children and he is awesome with them, so gentle.
