Rancher--you are correct on the dosing. Unfortunately, I have to do the grab, squirt and shove out the door. Its my challenge of the week!

Java2--sorry to hear about your loss but I am glad you did well!

Stony--nice looking families you have there. Your hen certainly has her wings full with that many babies!

Dinner tonight was farm raised chicken with spinach in butter sauce. That was what the terrorists and the hens had. I cooked up the carcassas that were in my freezer (yes, in this heat), stripped them, cooked up the spinach in the freezer (only my dd eats it and she is back at college) and mixed it all together and gave it to the rir's and laying hens. Judging from all the noise coming from the run, I do believe the rir's loved it. They have been eating feathers lately so I think they need some extra protein. I have enough stripped off for a few more meals. Funny,,, they all took a nap after eating! In case you were wondering, dh and I are having burgers on the grill. Nothing fancy like the chickens got.

Heres hoping the burger doesnt kill me!

Ok I am loving my Sumantras....however they are a total failure as "feral birds" They are the first ones in the coop each night, so they can get the prime roosting spots. LOL
