Chicks on crack is right! I put 18 chicks together...3 silkies, 6 EE's, 3 cochins, and 6 Guinea keets. At about 2 weeks I had to take the guineas out because they were making the other chicks BANANAS. They ALL started with flighty behavior. Once I removed them, the chicks calmed down and became normal. The keets were still nutty. Unfortunately, the first night the guineas were outside in the coop, an animal got in and killed them all. Maybe I will try again next year....we'll see, I really didn't enjoy them that much. Hopefully, I will change my mind by next year.Guinea keets are like chicks on crack.. Then when they get older.. whoo boy.. 'really loud talkers' doesn't cover it. I loved my guineas - my husband wanted them for tick control so I kept 17 until they were around 4 months old and I just could not take it anymore. They got along fine with the chickens, roosted with them etc.. but the noise!! They 'buckwheated' NON STOP from dawn to dusk..
