Does anyone have this style of Coop? I need 3 additional coops and I am looking at something like this to be abe to separate my roos, chicks, and breeders. If so, what are your thoughts about this coop.

Looks kinda small. I say build some half hoops if you need to. They'll hold 5-6 large birds and can double a breeding /broody coop if you need one. For the price of that coop, I bet you can build an 8/9' X 20' run. That's 5 , 50" cattle panels covered with chicken wire.

That coop has little room to run. This is the latest coop and my large double panel coop with run. I have no doubt a half coop can be made into a tractor. I just have not way to pull one and my property is too uneven.

Here is my hoop coop on wheels. It could be used as a tractor. I really need to get all of the pictures loaded onto the coop page. Hardware cloth on each side under the roost, solid floor down the middle. All set up on a 6x8 trailer frame. I will be backing this into the extra 12x12 horse stall for the winter. The nest boxes will be installed in the lower opening at front. Here is an in progress picture, so you can see most all of the setup.

And the nearly finished coop. Still has some finishing touches, but this is how the chickens are using it.

A reminder I will have 5 or 6 blue copper Marans pullets and some blue silkies, unsexed, on Sunday at Tabs chicken get together.
If anyone needs a rooster, I can bring some of them as well. bluecopper marans, Coronations.

I also have 2 blrw pullets, and 1 SLW pullet, all girls are $10 each.

All the Marans parents came from very very dark eggs, so they should also lay nice dark eggs.

I only build my own coops. I have looked at these. I look at every mass produced coop I see. All I have looked at are cheaply made and I imagine after a season or 2 are going to be junk. For what it is worth..............

That is kind of what I was thinking, I just needed a second opinion to confirm that.

I have been asking DH to build me 3 smaller coops(so I can play Musical Chickens), but he just doesn't have the time right now with work. It does need to be on the smaller side because it needs to fit in a 10x10 pen. I was even thinking little dog houses.

I am thankful I have a very handy dh! Our first coop is about 10 x 12' and houses 22 chickens right now. Plenty of space for 6 nest boxes and lots of roosting room for everyone. We are just about to start coop #2, which will be 10 x 10' and house 19 Black Australorps. We are also building a barn/shed for our two new goats.
Best part... we are using almost all recycled materials! Wooden pallets, my daughter's old wooden swingset and galvanized metal siding all have been or are being transformed into great barnyard housing! I have been adding hardware cloth as needed so it's all secure. I keep checking CL for insulation to use. I think the only things I have paid for in the coops are screws and 1 x 2"s for framing of vents. Oh, and paint.
Pallets will make super fencing for the goats!

I just went to heat pizza for lunch in the oven. POOF! Big flame, black smoke, and retched stink! Dang mice! I just used the oven a couple days ago with no issue. Signs of fluffy out the back of the stove. This one more thing to clean up this week.

What kinda voltage are you getting on the fence? Just curious - none have mine have tried to fly out, not even broodies with babies or smaller hens that can fly. However, my fence is pretty durn 'hot' so they are scared to get near it. (14,400 volts when not wet).
