Ok folks, need some help here. Just went outside to here what all the squawking was about, right next to our rabbit hutch on the ground was a an egg. But not an egg inside a shell, it was actually a egg with a broken "skin". What is up with that?!? Could it have been my son's hen since she is the only one we've been getting eggs from? She already layed an egg for us today around 11am, the same time she does everyday. Or could it have been from one of the other hens. She was the only one around when we found it. All the others were under the porch.

Oh I am so happy to see you all, I feel like no one around me has chickens, when I started to mention it to the people around me (my own friends etc) everyone looked at me like it was insane. I have never had chickens, but am interested in keeping a backyard flock for my families own personal needs. I have 8 baby girls headed my way in October and am so excited! I wish I could have met some people in my area to actually have some hands on experience and local friends to talk birds to
