NZ / Rex Rabbit Grow Out

Today is 6wks so here we go.

My NZW's are
oz 40.3, 37.1, 39.4, 40.7, 43.0 = 200.5oz OR lbs 2.5,2.3, 2.5, 2.5, 2.7= 12.5lb's of cute little bunnys.

They grow almost as fast as the broilers. But much less smelly!

Yes that is live ones. I sell them either as pets or meat depending on what they are looking for.

Let me brush the dust off of this. I have 8wk weights. I've changed feed and I am experimenting with making my own mix. Pellets were getting expensive.

I sell my rabbits like this:

Dead/Whole sold to bird preserve $8 each - 52 of them every year

Processed and bagged $5 lb. Avg weight is 2.9 lbs this past year.

I sold 100 lbs to a local restaurant, 100 lbs at farmers market and kept 25lbs for our family.

Buck 1 - Broken Satin
Buck 2 - California
Buck 3 & 4 - NZ White/Satin Mix (They are 1 - chocolate and 1 - Black)

Doe 1 - NZ/Cal Mix
Doe 2 - White Satin
Doe 3 - Cal
Doe 4 - 6 - NZ Whites

And I have 4 other does right now that are mix of Buck 1 and Does 1, 2, 4 - 6 that will start as breeders around May.
