Arguing with you on two threads at once is a bit much so I'll bow out with this comment. I don't think children's opinions are worthless but there's a reason you need to be 18 to vote in this country. Everyone has an agenda. There's a lot of things I don't like about our president, don't get me wrong. I guess I think about our president kind of like I think about my dad. There's a lot of things we don't agree upon but at the end of the day he's the best I've got.

As an old guy I have no problem doing 2 threads.

yeah, because that looks like a legit news source as well.....

the original "article" and the last one are merely opinion pieces. I could write a long thesis about why the sky is green and the grass is blue. Hey, the grass IS blue in Kentucky, right??

Remember, believe none of what you hear (read) and only half of what you see....

I have found these small alternative news sites a little more reliable than the media. I admit it is a person's opinion and he can say anything he wants. I just sort of agree with what is said as probable.

I prefer Reuters.

This is not made up.
Embedded media from this media site is no longer available

Do you get all your news from Iran? And the source in the article is Lyndon H. LaRouche.

The TV report did show that President Barack Obama is likely to be reelected.

The small "alternatives" are part of the news "media."

I like the newscaster from Tehran. I trust her. Not.

Cupman - while you're correct in saying that gun restrictions have loosened under Obama, if I'm not mistaken, the majority of that is due to high-profile Supreme Court cases and state and local deregulation. I may be mistaken, so please correct me if I'm wrong here, but to my knowledge, Obama and his administration has done nothing to loosen restrictions. There has, however, been at least one attempt at back-door gun control by the EPA, of all agencies. They wanted to ban lead bullets. Tell you what, the EPA goons would've become an endangered species pretty darn fast if they'd pulled that one off.

Also, I would hardly call Dubya a "conservative," considering his utter lack of concern for civil rights (PATRIOT Act, suspension of habeas corpus, etc.) and the Constitution generally, plus the first bailouts. Same goes for Rick, Newt, and Willard (Yes, that's Romney's first name. I know, I was shocked, too). In fact, I believe Santorum supported a ban on assault weapons, as well, though I'll need to double-check that. I know Newt wanted to fingerprint gun owners (yikes), and Mitt passed an assault weapons ban in Massacheusetts.

Personally, my concern regarding Obama is his stated opposition to assault weapons and supporting a ban on them. Now, I don't expect anything to happen before election day, but what if he gets re-elected? Then he won't have to worry about running AGAIN, so he may push for an assault weapons ban, which, IMO, are the most important weapons to PROTECT. That would likely be easier to get away with than control of non-military firearms. Of course, even if the Second Amendment were repealed somehow, my right to bear arms would still exist, and I'd exercise it whether they wanted me to or not. The Constitution doesn't give us rights, after all. It merely protects them.

Just my two cents (if that).

Not all Iranians are terrorist or dishonest., it is good to get a different perspective some times. I actual meant the mainstream media when I said "media".
