Obligatory Introductions

Hello and good day! Since I'm new to the site I thought I should introduce myself. I have eight chickens currently, 4 black stars, 2 autralorps and 2 barred rocks. Always wanted a few chickens and decided to make the leap and now after about five months I find them very therapeutic to watch and care for. Figured I better join so I can get some questions answered by the experts!

Welcome to BYC - I see several cockerels in your flock.

Well I would've thought so but I'm not sure. The two autralorps I would swear were roosters but I'm still on the fence. We had a rooster (Australorp) that was crowing like crazy and since we live in an area where roosters are frowned upon we relocated him with some friends. Since then we've not had any crowing. At five months old I would think at least one of them would crow. Their tail feathers (what's left of them after the neighbors dog got done chasing them) say roos but everything else makes me think hens. I know it's sometimes hard to tell with Australorps.
