observances while integrating chickens into a flock.

Kind of tight space, narrow, which could be part of the problem.
nope. that's not it. its 7x4x22 feet
my first flock was fine with it and was able to add chickens and they did fine.
this is not my first time doing integrations. like I said these chickens hate each other and I am trying to find out why.

besides they are not outside.... they are in my house and have my entire house not just the coop and run.

So it looks like you're not really asking for advice, you're just reporting what happens so we can all read about it. :) I am finding it interesting how they interact differently in different combinations.

Yes you are right.

So today was even different.
chickie, brownie and cocoa seemed to work out their differences and are now able to be together and not fight. However, now I can't let blondie join them or she gets attacked by all.

For the last 3 days I have had blondie secluded and the 3 are still being nice and no fights.
I'm going to give it an entire 14 days before I allow blondie to go outside with the other 3 chickens. I been waiting for a security camera so i can get video in the day when i'm not around but its still not shipped. hope i can get it soon. I think having video of this might help in determining why friendships break down in different areas depending on what chicken is around etc.

I have seen this behavior experiment done but it was done with an already established flock of 23 chickens but tbh that is too many chickens to get data that can help identify why chickens act different in different locations and depending on what chickens are around.

More data that i have is that inside chickens are quiet and outside in the sun they are vocal, I'm guessing this is because they see dangers or because they are happy. I hope to discover why they get so loud or why they get bolder(walk up to me) outside but inside they run and squak alot more. I'm leaning due to inside they have more hiding places or they think outside is their territory and inside mine.

why i lean to this is because inside i'm around 90% of the day and outside i'm only out there for about 3 hours a day.

So it has been 7 days and bad news is that blondie cut her self open again but i found her dead. The good news is there is no more fighting going on and they seem to be getting along great.

Thanks for the update!
Sad about Blondie, but it's been interesting to see how the interactions changed, and I'm glad to see that the ones you have left are doing well.
