You might want to try this quiz to see if you can accurately determine who is with the Occupy movement

This.

I am hearing a very very sad lack of understanding of what caused the crash of 2008. Everybody should be required to read The Big Short.

A free market cannot exist without the confines of both property and contract law. Citigroup's very existence violated the law when it was created. The need is for a small handful of specific laws to be changed and one big one - the one against monopolies and trusts to be enforced against ANY violators.

What neither the tea party nor occupy seem able to see is that the key is getting the laws we have to be enforced.

I listened to Glenn Beck's rant about Occupy last night and it just made me sad. I listened to some left wing rants about Occupy and it just made me sad.

Anyone who wants me to give a thorough explanation about what a credit default swap is or what a collatorallized debt obligation is and how these unregulated derivatives helped destroy our economy and are poised to do so again. I will do so. Otherwise,

So, why didn't all those Occupy people just go ahead and jump on the Tea Party bandwagon, then?

We want smaller government, and less intrusion into our private lives. Fewer rules and regulations, so that we don't have to jump a thousand arbitrary hurdles, just to get a business started.

All we ask is that you pick up your trash on the way out the door...Is that so hard?

The tea party and picking up trash shouldn't even be in the same sentence. They (and the house) have passed about 200 ANTI- environment bills in the past year, yet congress can't even pass a budget because of them. This is the most anti-environmental congress EVER. That is a cold hard fact.
They even want to abolish the EPA! What could be trashier than that?

Um, yeah, actually, if you have the time. I would be interested to hear.

They are doing what they were elected to do... get the government off the back of the middle class. The EPA is out of control running around trying to save the planet at the expense of the economy. There was a french economist that put out a study that said for every green job they create it kills 2. something brown jobs. I voted for the Tea Party on most tickets but not all. I feel the Tea Party represents the 99% more than the Occupy WS group does. Most of the people I see on the news are clueless why they are there other than they think more is better.

If the silent majority gets behind the Occupy movement it will mean something otherwise it will wither away these protests always do except the Tea Party they were educated people with common sense and a plan from the beginning.

Why use the EPA when private business can do it faster and better.

No agency of the govt. should have the power to just make up rules, willey nilley, as it sees fit. That is the EPA. The reason we have to drill for oil in 5,000' of water is because of the EPA. There's oil far closer to shore and on shore, as well. Talk about setting yourself up for a failure, or maybe, just maybe, that was the original intent. Sort of a backdoor way to demonstrate how evil oil is. Along with the shutting down of the oil industry goes jobs....How about the stopping of irrigation in Cali. to "save" some little minnow. Thousands of acre of high quality farmland, gone to dust. Food prices go through the roof, and once again, jobs are lost. Cry me a river about the EPA and give it to the California farmers, who are out of business, because of arbitrary, onerous and intentionally economically destructive regulations.
