I have managed to get 28 eggs instead of 24 into a tray for my very old octagon 20 incubator and they arnt too tightly together but can't move much but I am worried that the tray could break in the incubator due to the weight as they are quite old and I don't know how I will get the water into the wells safely without damaging the eggs whilst the trey twists slightly when it is lifted out and am worried it could break whilst being lifted and smash on the floor
Will this be ok or should I take the 4 extras out
I've had 24 in them multiple times with no problems

That’s is extremely tight specially when the chicks are trying to pip and zip no area for movement at all. I would reduce them to more comfortable number, better safe than sorry that everyone’s affected
