I think copying the pic and saving it might be illegal...

It may be copyrighted and you don't want to infringe upon that. In the future, if you want to copy a picture, go to internet options and set the privacy settings to the highest level. This will allow you to right click any picture. I am not sure how copyright works if you give the author/photographer full credit. To be safe, just email the author and ask permission. Most people will be flattered.
