October - Christmas Fabrics Block Swap - CLOSED

Block Swap tabsmonsters......If you are new to piecing quilt blocks, you can do any block at Quilter's Cache and just replace the original colors with Christmas fabric. It looks like a lot of points to match in the block you chose if it's the first one you have done. If you have pieced before or want something challenging ignore everything I just said. It sure is a beautiful block. Oh and yes you can add a borderto make it 12.5 inches.

I just looked again at the block and it is a 12.5 unfinished block and 12 inches finished so you don't need a border.....

Nanakat is correct, it will finish at 12 1/2 square if you are careful with your seams.
if you are not careful you will finish a little small. that is because there are so many pieces and those seam allowences add up quick.

the best thing about the small square blocks is that you can use up your scraps that are left over from other blocks. good if you don't like waiste.

Sorry for scaring you!!! I'm such a rookie that I would never attempt that block personally!! The fact that you even picked it out must mean you can do it so good luck!! You have some pros here that gave you advice so give it a try

I agree with everything said above..just scant seams..and make sure you measure the 1in sqr after copying..good to have ya!!
