OCTOBER HATCH-A-LONG!!! 2015

Yes it's completely totally normal to have an ever increasing lump in your chest during a hatch complete with panic attacks and obsessive compulsive checking on the bator and willing the lil things to grow strong. I didn't sleep last night waiting in these partial zippers they are freaking me out with their beaks half out chirping now and then but not making any efforts to come out. I'm trying to be zen like and reading here to distract myself :caf

Can you take a photo of the candling? Don't toss any unless you are sure they are duds. Fingers crossed for your eggies.
Dang it no pictures. Darn phone wants to flash and when I turn the flash off I just get a dark photo, even tried changing the aperture of my light tube and the dark edges airsacks still look dark but, I found the air sacks on both bantam eggs and they look gooood.

I woke up to 2 little fluffy salmon faverolles this morning

Yay, glad you found the air sacks :)

Sweet. No pips the night before?

1 had pipped yesterday but one had not pipped externally. I was afraid it was in an odd position due to the saddle air cells from shipping. Thankfully 2 have hatched and 2 more have pipped (in the correct location) of the salmon faverolles. I have 1 other egg that's welsummer/bielefelder but it's not due until tomorrow. I've been hatching since last Friday in a staggered hatch. I'm exhausted!

Since Friday? I'll bet you're exhausted.

What does this mean? The egg is too dark to candle but this morning there was a spot of build up on the egg. I brushed it off didnt think anything of it and now its back. Does that mean the egg is bad or could there still be a chick in there? Its day 14.

I realize the picture sucks lol the spot is at the top by my finger with a side veiw against the quail egg. I tried to turn it so you could see the bulk of it. Either way its leaking i think
