OCTOBER HATCH-A-LONG!!! 2015

Humidity at 63% ,temp shows 37.6 (99.5 F) and backup between the eggs shows 38.2 (100.8 F). aaaaaauuummmmmmmmmmmm breathe aaaaauuummmmmmmmmmm

Rooster - Dark Cornish
All eggs are laid by three hens2) Dark Cornish and (1) White Cornish Roaster hen.

Next batch...time to HATCH...5 of the 8 eggs are pipped. We should have chicks by morning. Early again this is day 19.

7 of the 8 eggs hatched. The 8th egg was a double. The chick was fully formed but never pipped the internal airsac.

It looks like mostly pullets Yeah!!!!! These are my first generation, so I will be keeping back next year's producers.

My count for October-hatch-a-long is now 23.

kdunn716, what kind of incubator did you use? And what did you use for a thermometer and hygrometer? I attempted to hatch Orpingtons last year in July and I got 6/18 to hatch, and one died 4 days after hatching. For now I have 7 eggs under two broody Silkies to see if I get better results. Their hatch day is the 23rd
