I'm hatching out Cream Legbars and super blue egg layers.

I've also staggered a few Easter eggers in there as a test batch to test fertility of eggs pulled after deworming. I don't remember when I set them, I'll have to look at my calendar. I think they're a week and a half off.

Lockdown for CCL and SBELs was Tuesday and hatch day is tomorrow.

What is hatching & when are you expecting them?

So.... this is our first hatch for a few years and I've been getting up to speed on what is currently working for people (love this forum - thanks to all for sharing their experiences! ) - I'm thinking of trying fermented feed (assuming we hatch - shipped eggs / new to us incubators etc).
From what I'm reading I need to get my first ferment on asap tomorrow - ive got unmedicated chick crumb & a wild bird seed mix ready for the babies. Is anyone else feeding chicks ff straight away?
All advice would be gratefully received!

I just set 19 silkie eggs this morning, should be paint, black, white, and mottled. Can't wait for Oct 26th to get here.

I’m on day 9 so I’m not sure if I fit in Sept. or Oct.
I have 5 active embryos right now started with 12.
4 Ayam Cemani and a green egg.

I came home to peeping and 4 pipping that I can see!

I meant to join this thread a couple of weeks ago. Better late than never. I have Black Copper Marans and Bantam Cochin egg currently on day 14. They were all purchased off ebay from 2 different sellers.

This picture is a bit outdated as I'm down to 6 Marans and 15 Bantams. Those left look active and healthy. My plan is to lock down at day 16 in case any bantams hatch early. This will be my first attempt hatching upright in egg cartons. I'm hoping it helps the shipped eggs have a better hatch rate.

Exciting! I just hatched out AC a few days ago. They’re such pretty little birds.

You’ll have to let me know how it works out with incubating in the egg cartons. I have thought of trying this a few times, so I’m curious to see if you find it helpful!
